Accessibility Statement
Draft — verify with an audit before publishing. The European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882) applies from 28 June 2025 to consumer-facing e-commerce services. AACSearch itself is a B2B service, but its search widget and assistant become part of our customers' consumer shops, so we hold them to the same standard. Micro-enterprises providing services (fewer than 10 staff and ≤ €2 million turnover) are exempt from the Act.
Standard
We target WCAG 2.1 level AA (EN 301 549) for the website, the console and the embeddable widget.
How the service meets it
- Keyboard operation of the search box, results, filters and the header menu; visible focus.
- Screen-reader support: semantic HTML, labelled controls, ARIA for the menu and result list; charts have text alternatives.
- Text contrast that meets AA in light and dark themes; no information conveyed by colour alone (roadmap and status marks use line style and text).
- Content reflows on small screens and at 200 % zoom.
- The AI assistant's disclosure is presented as text, readable by assistive technology.
Known limitations
- An independent conformance audit has not yet been carried out.
- Some data tables (comparison matrix) are wide and need horizontal scrolling on small screens.
